Ok...so I have been asleep for a few weeks...sue me!

I know...I know! I start this up and then just fall over for weeks...if you knew me you wouldn't be surprised. I am a procrastinator to the highest degree. I desearve some kind of award i'm sure. Worlds Biggest Slug would be appropriate.

Of course the holidays were very trying so I didn't really feel very swanky and I had trouble seeing the swankyness in most things, so that was part of the problem.

Now I am a self-proclaimed nerd and I have no desire to lie about it. I love all things techy, even those I don't really understand, which is most of it. Right now I am working with a friend amassing a huge collection of divx/xvid movies and television series. For those that don't know what a divx is it is just another media format such as dvd or mpeg. The reason I like it is because the visual quality of it is so good but the size of it is so small, compared to say a dvd. Sadly there really isn't anyway to watch a divx on your television unless you have it playing thru a computer. There are divx players but that is a whole other ball of wax. Currently me and my friend have like 15 television series completed or at least up to current, prolly have 10 more seasons of various shows and around 120 divx movies. The thing holding us back right now is needing more hard drive. I just don't have enough. I have like 180 gig between my computers but I need more.

My dream would be to have a basic computer with like 4 250gig hard drives filled with movies and shows hooked to my tv. I think I could die happy then, lol.

I know I am rambling just a bit when all I really wanted to say was that until about 2 years ago I never even knew what a divx was and I didn't really even appreciate it until the past 6 months or so. Now I don't know how i got by without it.

Divx/Xvid is truely SWANKY!

Just imagine a movie that looks as good, if not better than a dvd. Yet it is half the size. I mean on one blank dvd I can get up to four full length divx movies. Just think of the saved space that is. I have over a hundred dvd movies, one movie per disc...imagine the discs I could have saved if I had burned them as divx. Now I just want them all as divx but I don't have the patience, hard drive or discs to convert them all. What is sad is that most of them started out as divx and I took the trouble to convert them to dvd, edit them and create menus then burn them. Now I want to do it all again but take them back....ah, hell.
